ASP.NET MVC 5 Fundamental Tutorial looks at the Katana and OWIN middleware components to see how the components work at a low level and how they fit into ASP.NET pipeline.

it covers all the new features of ASP.NET MVC 5, as well as the new features for web developers in Visual Studio 2013.

The new identity and membership components are covered, and a demonstration is included to customize and seed the membership database.
